Job Opening: Senior Manager, DTC Performance & Analytics
Reports To: Director of Marketing & Growth
Location: Remote or Portland, ME
About ChappyWrap
ChappyWrap is a rapidly growing, female-founded eCommerce company built on a mother-daughter partnership out of Portland, Maine. Our mission is simple: spread comfort to everyone, everywhere with the world’s best blankets. Behind every cozy customer moment is a team that knows its numbers just as well as its fabric, and we’re looking for a data-driven DTC leader to help us turn that comfort mission into sharper decisions and faster growth.
The Role
ChappyWrap is hiring a Senior Manager, DTC Performance & Analytics to own the day-to-day performance of our direct-to-consumer business.
This person will be accountable for the DTC revenue forecast and for bringing together the three primary drivers of online performance: acquisition, conversion, and retention. They will lead the weekly DTC operating rhythm, identify where performance is ahead of or behind plan, and determine the actions needed to close gaps or capture opportunities.
The Senior Manager will use data to make decisions, set priorities, and influence how the business operates. They will own decisions within the strategy, budget, and brand guardrails established with the Director of Marketing.
The role will also lead and develop two experienced functional team members:
- The Manager of eCommerce, who owns Shopify execution, site merchandising, promotional setup, and implementation of the CRO and testing roadmap
- The Email & Retention Specialist, who owns strategy and execution across email, SMS, direct mail, segmentation, and lifecycle programs
The Senior Manager is accountable for the combined performance of these functions, while empowering each team member to remain the owner of their respective lane.
This role is ideal for someone who is both analytical and commercially minded—comfortable building a forecast, managing performance against a revenue target, coaching a team, and making clear recommendations when the numbers and the plan begin to diverge.
What You’ll Own
DTC Revenue Performance
- Own the DTC revenue and demand forecast and monitor performance against plan weekly and monthly
- Lead the weekly DTC performance review, ensuring the team understands what happened, why it happened, and what actions should follow
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities across acquisition, conversion, and retention
- Determine and coordinate corrective actions when actual performance diverges from forecast
- Provide clear, executive-ready updates and recommendations to the Director of Marketing
- Serve as the primary day-to-day owner of the DTC number
Forecasting, Analytics & S&OP
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve the DTC forecasting and reporting tools used by leadership
- Provide DTC demand inputs into ChappyWrap’s Sales & Operations Planning process
- Partner closely with the Director of Marketing to reconcile DTC demand with inventory availability, product timing, and margin considerations
- Analyze traffic, conversion, customer behavior, product performance, and promotional results
- Translate complex data into clear commercial recommendations—not simply reports
- Create promotion-specific reporting that allows the team to monitor performance and make timely adjustments
Acquisition & Paid Media Performance
- Own day-to-day DTC acquisition performance within the marketing strategy, budget, and guardrails established with the Director of Marketing
- Manage the relationship with ChappyWrap’s paid media partner
- Hold partners accountable for revenue, customer acquisition, CAC, MER, aMER, contribution margin, and spend-efficiency targets
- Recommend day-to-day shifts in spend, channel allocation, and campaign emphasis based on performance
- Identify opportunities to improve the channel mix and test new sources of customer acquisition
- Escalate material changes to budget, channel strategy, or brand positioning to the Director of Marketing
Ecommerce Performance & CRO
- Hold overall accountability for conversion rate, AOV, digital merchandising performance, and the effectiveness of the online customer journey
- Manage the Manager of eCommerce, who retains ownership of day-to-day Shopify operations and execution
- Partner with the Manager of eCommerce to establish priorities for UX, CRO, testing, site merchandising, and promotional execution
- Use data to prioritize opportunities based on expected revenue and customer impact
- Ensure marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional moments are effectively translated across the site
Retention Channel Oversight
- Hold overall accountability for repeat-purchase rate, retention revenue, and customer lifetime value
- Manage the Email & Retention Specialist, who retains ownership of channel strategy and execution across email, SMS, direct mail, segmentation, and lifecycle programs
- Partner with the Email & Retention Specialist to align lifecycle priorities with customer behavior, revenue goals, inventory needs, and the promotional calendar
- Use retention insights to inform broader forecasting, merchandising, and acquisition decisions
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Manage and develop a team of two direct reports, including goal-setting and performance development
- Create space for direct reports to own decisions and grow their strategic and leadership capabilities
- Act as a teacher and multiplier—not an additional approval layer
- Hold the team accountable for outcomes while avoiding unnecessary involvement in execution details
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product & Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience to ensure demand forecasts, inventory planning, and promotional strategy remain aligned
- Serve as a key point of insight-sharing with all external partners on channel performance
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Director of Marketing & Growth and executive leadership by translating complex analytics into clear business recommendations
What You Bring
- 7–10+ years of experience in DTC ecommerce, digital analytics, or a related analytical role, ideally within a fast-paced consumer brand
- A curious, ownership-driven mindset—comfortable identifying problems and opportunities without being asked
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional decision-making through data, sound judgment, and clear communication—not simply reporting performance
- Proven people-management experience and a track record of developing capable managers or senior individual contributors
- Comfortable operating as both a hands-on analyst and a business leader, balancing technical expertise with commercial thinking
- Proven experience owning revenue or demand forecasting, ideally with exposure to S&OP or inventory planning processes
- Strong hands-on proficiency with ecommerce, paid media, and web analytics tools, such as GA4, Shopify Analytics, Klaviyo, Meta, and Google, with comfort building dashboards independently
- Working knowledge of retention and lifecycle channels, including email and SMS, and attribution and marketing-efficiency metrics such as aMER, MER, CAC, LTV, and contribution margin
- Demonstrated ability to turn data into decisions and measurable commercial action
- Experience managing paid media agencies, budgets, and marketing-efficiency targets
- A track record of translating data into clear, executive-ready recommendations—not just reporting numbers, but explaining what they mean and what to do next
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clear recommendations to executive leadership
Who Thrives Here
You are analytical and operational, but you do not confuse analysis with impact. You use numbers to make decisions, establish priorities, and improve business performance. You enjoy owning a revenue target and understanding all the levers behind it. You are equally comfortable challenging an agency recommendation, coaching a manager, refining a forecast, or explaining a performance gap to leadership.
You give talented people room to own their work. You set high standards, ask strong questions, and help team members become more capable and confident rather than becoming dependent on your approval. You value what is already working and know how to improve a healthy business without changing systems simply to leave your mark.
